The red carpet was recently rolled out in Decatur for Jeff Biggars, his friends and customers.
On Aug. 10, Biggars hosted a Hollywood-style premiere at Trinity Street Coffee Bar for a short film, depicting the artistry and craft behind his work at Biggar Hat Store.
“It’s a video to get outside of Wise County to let people know what we do,” he said. “It tells a little bit about us and shows the process of making the hats and shows what we can make.”
The video, created by Think Branded Media in Dallas, is a little more than six minutes long, featuring customers like the Hayhurst Brothers, County Judge J.D. Clark and Sheriff Lane Akin. There’s footage inside the store as well as on the ranch with his father-in-law and Biggar co-owner, Mike Garland, telling how they got started.
Biggars said the video is part of a re-branding effort that also includes a new website. The video is on YouTube and should be released on Biggar social media soon.
“Maybe a Hollywood premiere was overkill, but everyone had fun and I wanted to get people around Decatur excited because that’s your family and community and you count on them to share it and help get the word out,” he said.
