Decatur ISD will hold its board meeting Monday with trustees utilizing video conferencing and the district streaming the meeting on Facebook.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott last week granted the Attorney General’s request for a suspension of certain open meetings statutes to allow teleconferencing and videoconferencing of meetings as the state tries to control the spread of COVID-19.

School Board President Charlie Tibbels and Superintendent Joseph Coburn will be in the board room with other trustees taking part in the meeting remotely. Trustees will hold a closed session at 6 p.m. and start the stream of the regular meeting at 7 p.m.
