I thought it might be interesting for folks to see regular updates on the historic courthouse restoration grant progress as different phases are underway.  This week, a team from ReckonPoint is performing 3D mapping of the entire interior and exterior of the building.  This will allow them to generate “as built” drawings to within two centimeters of accuracy and then develop CAD drawings for the rest of the construction documents process.  If you see a robot in the halls or a drone outside, that is what is happening!  Pretty amazing to see this cutting edge technology working to help preserve our 125-year-old iconic courthouse.  We appreciate the Texas Historical Commission awarding us with the planning grant for the project!
