The Decatur Economic Development Corporation
(DEDC) today announced that its Board of Directors has selected Matt Runnels to serve as
the organization's new Executive Director following the departure of current Executive
Director Kevin Holzbog on March 27th.
The Board conducted a rigorous evaluation and interview process, carefully considering
candidates from diverse backgrounds and skill sets. After thorough deliberation, the Board
determined that Matt Runnels is the best fit to guide DEDC forward at this time.
Matt Runnels currently serves as the Business Development Director for DEDC. His
extensive career includes significant experience in the aerospace manufacturing sector,
proven capabilities leadership positions, and experience in economic development
specific to Decatur. Matt's strong relationships with local stakeholders in Decatur and
across Texas position him ideally to drive continued success and growth for the
organization and the community.
